The Bomb Run powered by Nike
The Bomb Run was originally started in 2005 by Gilbert Tuhabonye, where the fastest runners in town would show up to RunTex on Friday mornings. The run is a slow and easy start (the "Kenyan shuffle" we call it) and a fast finish meant to simulate race pace ("Choma Moto," or light the fire). Ultimately, the heart behind the Bomb Run is community. We start together, and we push each other to finish strong. The tradition continues every Friday morning from The Loop and is led by Gilbert.
Register now for this exclusive and capped event (60 people max) to go wild on the streets of Austin and finish back at the shop greeted with caffeinated gold and tacos from Flat Track Coffee. We cannot wait to share with the global running scene this little slice of our Austin running culture. Event day details and logistics will be announced Friday morning by our friends at Nike. Route info will come straight from Gilbert himself 5 minutes before the run.
Don't Miss It.
